CCNA ER FOUNDATION Lab 01

Two networks, one connection

Connect a Cisco branch to a Huawei branch. Interfaces and hosts are ready; add a static route in each direction to deliver the first ping.

CCNA ER SWITCHING Lab 03

A VLAN across two vendors

PC1 and PC2 share VLAN 10 on different switches. Move the host ports into VLAN 10 and configure a trunk between Cisco and Huawei. SW2 starts with its host port in VLAN 20, so connectivity is broken.

CCNA ER / CCNP ER · ACL Lab 08

Trace a policy failure

Routing already works. Create an ICMP deny policy on R1, observe the failed ping, then remove the binding and restore reachability.

CCNA ER · DEVICE ACCESS Lab 09

Secure a Cisco router

Harden R1 the Cisco way: hostname, enable secret, console and VTY passwords, a banner and SSH with local users. Save when done.

CCNA ER · INTER-VLAN Lab 10

Router-on-a-stick

PC1 (VLAN 10) and PC2 (VLAN 20) share one switch. Route between the VLANs with 802.1Q subinterfaces on R1 over a single trunk. R1 G0/0 starts shut down.

CCNA ER · LAYER 3 SWITCHING Lab 11

Inter-VLAN routing with SVIs

Route between VLAN 10 and VLAN 20 inside the switch using switched virtual interfaces. Cisco switches route only after ip routing.

CCNA ER · STP Lab 12

Spanning tree root and blocking

Three switches form a loop. Spanning tree blocks one port. Choose the root bridge deliberately, run the rapid protocol and mark host ports as edge ports.

CCNA ER · ETHERCHANNEL Lab 13

EtherChannel with LACP

Two parallel links join SW1 and SW2. Bundle them with LACP so both links forward, then carry VLAN 10 across the bundle as a trunk.

CCNA ER · DHCP Lab 14

DHCP server and relay

R1 serves addresses for both LANs. PC2 sits behind R2, so R2 must relay its broadcast to R1. Routing between the routers is already in place.

CCNA ER · NAT Lab 15

PAT to the Internet

The ISP has no route back to 192.168.10.0/24. Give R1 a default route and translate the inside hosts to its public address so replies return.

CCNA ER · Cisco · 5 objectives
CCNA ER · FIRST-HOP REDUNDANCY Lab 16

HSRP gateway redundancy

PC1 uses 192.168.10.1 as its gateway, but no router owns that address yet. R1 and R2 share it as a virtual IP. R1 is preferred; when its uplink fails, R2 takes over. OSPF already runs on all three routers.

CCNA ER · ACL Lab 17

Standard ACL placement

LAN B (192.168.20.0/24) must not reach the server; LAN A still must. A standard ACL only matches the source, so apply it close to the destination: outbound on the server interface.

CCNA ER · Cisco · 4 objectives
CCNA ER · OSPF Lab 18

OSPF DR and BDR election

Four routers share one Ethernet segment, so OSPF elects a designated router (DR) and a backup (BDR). Router IDs 1.1.1.1–4.4.4.4 make R4 the default DR. Use interface priorities to choose your own.

CCNA ER · IPV6 Lab 48

IPv6 addressing, static routes and SLAAC

Bring IPv6 up between two branches. Address both routers, fix a link-local address for a clean next hop, add static routes both ways, and let PC1 configure itself from router advertisements (SLAAC).
