Objectives
The simulator ticks each one as soon as the network meets it.
Create VLAN 10 and put both host ports in it.
Bundle G0/1–G0/2 on each switch with LACP (channel-group 1 mode active).
Make the bundle a trunk that allows VLAN 10.
Confirm both member links are bundled.
Ping PC2 from PC1.
Before you start
Cisco: interface range g0/1 - 2 → channel-group 1 mode active, then configure interface port-channel 1. Huawei: interface Eth-Trunk 1 → mode lacp → port link-type trunk, then eth-trunk 1 on each member. Before bundling, STP blocks one of the parallel links.
Concept
EtherChannel / Eth-Trunk with LACP
Link aggregation bundles parallel links into one logical link. Spanning tree then sees a single port, so all links forward at once instead of one being blocked, and traffic moves to the remaining links if one fails.
Concept
802.1Q trunks: VLAN tags on the wire
A trunk carries many VLANs over one link. To keep them apart, the sending switch inserts a 4-byte 802.1Q tag into each frame saying which VLAN it belongs to; the receiving switch reads the tag and removes it before delivering the frame to an access port.
