Name the router and keep your work

Objectives

The simulator ticks each one as soon as the network meets it.

1. In configuration mode, rename the router: hostname Branch1. The prompt changes at once.
2. Open interface GigabitEthernet0/0 and describe it: description Office LAN.
3. Give it 192.168.1.1 with a /24 mask, and switch it on.
4. Type end and read show running-config: your changes are there, in memory.
5. Read show startup-config. Nothing has been saved yet.
6. Save it: write memory.
7. Restart the router: reload, then answer y. Branch1 comes back with its address.
